Features
Zero-Latency Processing
ThunderFace converts the DisplayPort output of the computer directly to the SDI signal, without internal buffering. In this mode, SDI outputs are limited to the same frequency, but video output is delivered with the lowest possible delay.
8x SDI Output
Using high-resolution DisplayPort output from the Mac running QTAKE Video Assist software, ThunderFace device can deliver eight separate HD or two Ultra HD outputs in perfect sync, using 3G-SDI and 12G-SDI standards.
Single-Cable Connection
ThunderFace device connects to your Mac using a single cable which provides video, audio, and control data transfer. Additionally, in case of MacBook Pro, it also charges your computer with a 60W power delivery standard.
Silent Active Cooling
An innovative, whisper-quiet fan from the iconic Noctua brand is integrated within the user-replaceable part of the chassis to keep the device running at low temperatures even with the most demanding dual 4Kp60 setup.
Metadata Support
In addition to video and audio content, ThunderFace device can deliver separate metadata for each SDI output, including LTC and VITC timecode, camera positioning data for VFX, as well as HDR and Dolby Vision metadata.
Firmware Updates
ThunderFace is based on a powerful programmable hardware platform, which enables future extension of functionality via firmware updates. The firmware updates are simple, safe, and can be performed effortlessly by the user.
